Education scholarships

 For more than 30 years, Katherine Watson dedicated her life to educating students in the Chicago Public Schools. Like many passionate educators, she often reached into her own pocket to purchase classroom supplies, learning materials, and resources to ensure her students had what they needed to succeed. 

The Katherine Watson Teacher Resource Scholarship honors her unwavering commitment to education by providing financial support to teachers who continue this same tradition of service and dedication. This scholarship is intended to help offset out-of-pocket classroom expenses and support educators who go above and beyond for their students every day. 

 Katherine Watson believed that education was one of life's greatest gifts and that learning should never stop. She encouraged family members, friends, colleagues, and students alike to continue their education, pursue new opportunities, and invest in their personal and professional growth. 

The Katherine Watson Lifelong Learning Scholarship honors her passion for education by supporting adult learners who are returning to school to complete a degree, earn a certification, develop new skills, or pursue a new career path. This scholarship celebrates the courage and determination of individuals who choose to continue learning and growing at any stage of life.
